I created today a Google Group titled “ASCII and ANSI Text Art”, but it is open to anything and anybody who and which is related to Text Art.

For that reason is the short name and URL to the group “textart” instead of “asciiart” or “ansiart”.

I created already a little resources page and also started a discussion about something that has always been a controversy. I will not tell you what that is, go check out the group and find out for yourself.

A number of XML feeds are also available for anybody who can not live without.

Hello There, My real name is Carsten Cumbrowski, but my scene handle is Roy. I was the co-founder/leader of the scene art group Superior Art Creations (SAC) between 1994 and 1999. I also ran a Bulletin Board System (BBS) called Closed Society between 1994 and 1998 (You can learn more about my BBS here). During my active time in the scene I became member, founder and board for several scene groups, many of them well known, such as TRSI/Faith, Genesis/TDU-Jam, Razor 1911, Dytec, Dynasty & Backlash (latter 3 are probably only known to Germans). You can learn more about my scene involvement here. I was born 1974 in Berlin/East-Germany. Moved to Switzerland in 1999 and then to Fresno/California in May 2000.
