{"id":84,"date":"2009-04-18T03:44:00","date_gmt":"2009-04-18T03:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.roysac.com\/blog\/wp-admin\/2009\/04\/jason-scott-from-textfiles-com-text-urized\/"},"modified":"2009-04-18T03:44:00","modified_gmt":"2009-04-18T03:44:00","slug":"jason-scott-from-textfiles-com-text-urized","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.roysac.com\/blog\/2009\/04\/jason-scott-from-textfiles-com-text-urized\/","title":{"rendered":"Jason Scott from Textfiles.com Text-urized"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I wrote a while back already a post about the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roysac.com\/blog\/2007\/06\/image-to-text-converter-and-fun-with-matt-cutts\/\">online Image to Text (ASCII) converter tool<\/a> at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.photo2text.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Photo2Text.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Back then I used <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mattcutts.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Matt Cutts<\/a> from Google as my Guinea-Pig to illustrate it???s capabilities. This is not the purpose of this blog post though. Shortly after I did my post, I played around with it a bit more. I experimented with a photograph of Jason Scott Sadofsky from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.textfiles.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Textfiles.com<\/a> (who also did the DVD documentary ???<a href=\"http:\/\/www.roysac.com\/videos.asp#bbsdoc\">BBS ??? The Documentary<\/a>???, which I highly recommend, if you are interested in the subject of Bulletin Board Systems)<\/p>\n<p>I tweaked the source photo of him to get better results and saved them on my hard drive and then forgot about them until now. I stumbled across them by accident and thought that I should not hide them, or at least make them accessible for Jason himself. <\/p>\n<p>I took the results from the converter and tweaked them a bit more in Photoshop, adding some color and stuff like that. You can see below the stages of my changes. It is only using the number characters 0-9, but a very small font. The result is good, but it looks to little like an ASCII to me, because of the font size. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.roysac.com\/blogimages\/JasonScott-ANSI-0-9-large.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"tn_JasonScott-ANSI-0-9-large\" height=\"792\" alt=\"tn_JasonScott-ANSI-0-9-large\" src=\"http:\/\/www.roysac.com\/blogimages\/tn_JasonScottANSI09large.png\" width=\"700\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p> This ANSI was actually created as a HTML document.
